I have finally come to the realization that I am paying way too much money for what I am getting from my DirectTV account, both at home and in the motor home.
This is location dependent but ... Im amazed at the number of expensive DIshes I see in some campgrounds.
Now,, one CG in the summer, I have to work and work hard to get OTA TV, the other one I summer at... Well, how much do you want>
Here in SC where I winter. I have so much OTA Im stocking up for later viewing in the first park above (I have a pair of DVR's that with a bit of help from converters can record up to 290 hours,, I have a computer that can offload about 700 hours from them and serve them back up later.. So I have about 300 hours on the HD now.
Tier 2 networks (Cozi, Antenna, This, ME TV, MY TV and so on) have some GREAT old shows and movies on them. No need to pay.
When it started the lure of Cable/Sat TV was "Commercial Free".. but alas, that .. is history.
