It is still possible to purchase a DVD recorder. There are models that include a digital tuner which you will need for OTA reception. If there is no digital tuner you can add one for $50. Connect your antenna to the tuner, the tuner to the recorder and the recorder to the TV to watch. Scan for channels and set your timers (many stand alone tuners have recording timers built in)to record your shows on DVD and take them along with you when you travel.
