X2, and you'll probably get the same answer from 99.9% of people who own Macs. I'm a long time Mac lover. I replaced my last Mac laptop after about 6 years with another Mac laptop.
That said, I bought a $350 Samsung laptop for my partner who just does the basics....email, internet, a spreadsheet or two. In my opinion, it's those darn virus protection programs that bog down a computer. I did not put one on this Samsung. I know I may get blasted for that. But we're just very very careful regarding internet use and clicking links. No problem in a year, and it runs like a charm. Starts up fast, etc. I do like Windows 7 better than any other Windows version. I hate the look of Windows 8, would never get it.
