Malwarebytes??

When running Windows 10 / Norton 360 or Windows Defender, is Malwarebyes (1) necessary and (2) worth the cost to keep a computer safe? Looking for opinions, comments and or alternatives..

Practcing Safe Hex (Being careful) is good but even being careful you can get Bit by malware.

Just read one of the "Best Products" reviews.. Not sure I agree with 'em since they listed Kaperski and McAffee. but Malware Bytes and the other two I use all made the list.

Kaperski is a Russian firm which has recently been caught in a virus distribution scandle.. Seems they got hacked so their Anti-malware product was actually Spy Ware And the US government was the target!!!!

McAffee.. Not only does the man who gave the company his name have a criminal problem but I have long suspected and finally got confirmation that they engaged in a practice called "Seeding the market" (Distribution of mostly harmless virus programs, Of course NO Virus program is totally harmless) Or so my source said.

Of course that was a long time ago.. But That is why I don't buy that product.
(The Kaperski thing was earlier this year).
  • Malwarebytes is the only AV program (other than Windows Defender) that I would bother with. In general, an ad blocker will protect you against far more stuff anyway.
