I switched over this morning. Two items of interest:
1. They would not give me the vet's discount that I have on my other lines because it is a promotion, not a standard plan.
2. I immediately suspended service on the device because we are currently in a park with fast, reliable Wi-Fi and we are heading to Mexico next month for the winter. It costs $15 to suspend the device. It can be suspended for up to 90 days. You can suspend it a second time, but after the second suspension (of any length) you must wait six months before suspending it again. There is no charge for taking it off suspension. You have to call them to suspend the device, but you can take it off suspension on line.
That works out very nicely for us.
Since we are adding it to our current account (with an old, grandfathered plan that has unlimited data on the Droid), it will be billed as part of that plan.
I'm happy.
