My Mobley is not powering off.
This is the text displayed in the Power Settings. Read the last sentence.
"Notes: The user may define a time period for the mobile hotspot to stay on when the vehicle is turned off or idle. The factory default is 30 minutes. Starting the vehicle will always power the hotspot on. The mobile hotspot will power off automatically if the voltage of the OBD connector drops to 11.5v."

This is correct and the panic is totally unnecessary. As long as power is provided and above 11.5 volts the Mobley will stay on. If it does not, there is some other problem besides the new update. Mine and most others stay on as long as it has power. Chuck - MrWizardModeratorthen there might be some misinformation ?
but the Mobile resource Center
is usually accurate in reporting on various mobile plans and services etc.. - RLS7201Explorer II

Richard - MrWizardModeratorThis is a software update to the Mobley,
The same thing as when they update your phone
Except there are no controls on the Mobley for you to refuse or delay the update
It won't affect other hardware in which the Mobley SIM has been swapped
It does not change the terms of service etc of your contact
My Mobley SIM is also in netgear hotspot router
I do turn mine off at night, and I alternate with using my phone hotspot - Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIOur Mobley SIM is in a Netgear router and we have not seen any service interruptions. It's also powered on 24/7.
- doxiemom11Explorer IIWe unplug ours every night when we are done using it. Not a big deal to do that either, and so far we haven't noticed any change.
