Moving Programs to a New Computer
Both PC the old one is XP new one would be Sys 7 or 8. Don't want to loose programs, no data involved. Bob

Dell, HP and Lenovo all sell new computers with Win 7 on their websites. The selections seem to be a bit better for small business/business side rather than home users.
To the OP: If you buy at least Win 7 Pro you have the option of downloading Win XP mode and running that for your older programs. You can read about it here:Win XP Mode It essentially runs XP in a virtual machine inside Win 7..
I only have Win 7 Home Premium here and my experience running old XP programs on that has been mixed. The programs load fine but functionality may be reduced. My solution was to pop a new hard drive into an old P4 box and install XP there. I don't need to go online for those old, old programs so lack of XP support after April, 2014 isn't an issue for me.
