Multi-meter recommendations, please!

Above all else get one that either shuts off automatically or one where the the meter needs to be turned off to close its storage case. Otherwise the tiny wafer battery will be dead the next time he wants to use it.
Check on Amazon as they have a great selection and the customer reviews provide information on pluses and minuses of the different ones. One with an Amp metering capability will cost $10-15 more but it is a good function to have.
I have a small one that I keep in the center console of the truck and another small one that I keep in my desk and a large one that I keep in the garage. The large one has a few more bells and whistles but it is not needed for roadside troubleshooting with an RV.
