Lots of great meters out there. However, no matter how good or expensive. The meter is no better than the person using the probes. That is why first time users should buy a very cheap meter. I have been using electronic test equipnent for over 60 years. 90% of the time that $6 meter is all you need. The rest of the time most people wouldn't be able to trouble shoot the ckt anyway.
