- msalyerExplorer1-1/4 inch pvc drain pipe works well.
- IvylogExplorer IIIIn North Carolina you do not need the big slimline this to get DirecTV HD service. I'm using a 18 x 22" oval dish with an SL3 head on it for HD in GA.
- bcbouyExplorerany metal supply shop can help you.i needed an odd size aluminum square tube for my awning leg that got bent in a wind storm.couldn't find the size in any big box store.metal superstore hooked me up and even cut it to the length i needed.didn't make me buy full length piece.
- OldF__tExplorerIf you can't find it from the other sources mentioned here then purchase a section of 1 1/2" rigid electrical conduit. It is 1.9" OD. I believe that is the correct conduit size but best to measure to double check. Then use a piece of .035" roof flashing to make a sleeve for the top of the post. The combination comes out to almost a perfect 2". I have been using this solution for years.
- Dutch_12078Explorer IIHome Depot sells 2" O.D. x 8' chain link fence posts that fit DirecTV dish mounts and 1-5/8" x 8' posts for Dish dish mounts. If your local store doesn't stock it, they can order it.
- edatlantaExplorerMy experience 3-4 years ago is that a 2" OD post is absolutely not available from any source. My suggestion is to keep your eye out for a DirecTV truck, flag him/her down and buy one. I wasted a lot of time looking.
- Fishy_Old_ManExplorerThanks for the info! I appreciate it..
- gatorcqExplorerTake a section of 1.5 inch PVC cut length ways. Using heat gun heat it and then lay it in the 1.5 inch metal pipe, pressing and heating at the same time. You have now made a form spacer.

Checked our Lowes today. Could not locate anything with 2" outside diameter.
Any type of pipe that is designed for carrying fluids is always measured I.D.
And Yes, as stated above I think you'll have better luck with other types like Fencing etc. - RVhikerExplorerI've heard that muffler shops have a 2" pipe they can sell; you could also get a 1 1/2" pipe from a home store, and shim it out to 2". If all else fails, here's a link: two inch mast
