Need help with Computer

I have an old laptop with Windows 7. My printer died so I bought a new one. Trying to install printer CD and I get a window asking for the administrator password. Problem is I can’t remember it. Can’t seem to find where I probably wrote it down. How can I get it or add a new one??

    If there is no password it still asks for one and all you have to do is hit enter.

    Was going to suggest that. If there's only one Windows user account on the laptop, then it's likely that it is the Administrator privileged id anyway. Go to Control Panel > User Accounts, to see what user accounts are on the laptop. If there's only one, you're probably it.
