BTW the Verizon Jet Pack has far better security than the AT&T Sierra unit.
What does that mean?
I have had Sierra Wireless devices on both Sprint and AT&T, and currently a JetPack on Verizon. While the setups are obviously different, the WiFi security is the same. All of mine are capable of the WPA2 AES/TKIP with passwords up to 64chrs, and I have never seen anyone run a password that long cept me, and I have used that password on all three carriers and their equipment.
If you are referring to CARRIER security, that is nothing the user has any control over nor information about. Being able to decode encrypted spread spectrum data between the device and the cell site is almost unheard of.
Hmmm. Maybe I have been scammed by ATT. I only have 8 numerical characters and unable to change it. ATT office says. That is it for sierra.
