My CAD program is a design specific model railroad program called Cadail Click here. I use it laying out all kinds of things from weldments, to machining projects, to my house. It is good enough for me but very cumbersome for non-model railroad design projects.
I am interested in the non-rotating internal drive because of all the bouncing around the computer gets due to rough roads while using it as a navigational device with Street Atlas. I presently have an HP Pavilion with a 15 inch screen running Windows XP. It has taken the beating so far but it is "not ticking" so good anymore. Also I am maxed out on ram at 1 gb so my programs run very slow.
Thank you for your reply.
