New computer problem with Wifi

We got a new HP all-in-one PC 5 weeks ago. We also go an AT&T Mifi and a Verizon Mifi that day. Both have been working fine until today. The PC will connect to either one but the up/down internet speed is so low that it won't even load Firefox. I hooked up our laptop and it would connect to either one and work just as it has since we got the Mifi's with very good internet speed, no problem at all. I'm thinking the Wifi card in the new HP all-in-one PC is bad. I don't want to call support but would just like to take it in to a service center. How does one go about locating one of those?

    Well, though it's possible that the internal WiFi card is bad, it' not likely in a system only 5 weeks old. Have you tried doing a "repair" on you WiFi connection. Also, have you checked under Windows Device Manager to see if there is a yellow ! next to your Network Adapters>Wireless Lan card?

    In any case, a $10. external USB WiFi-n adapter would be much cheaper than buying an internal WiFi card for your motherboard(?).

    Try this

    An update might have caused an issue. I assume you have done a reboot? The restore function just takes you back to a date when it was working correctly. This often resolves goofy issues.

    Wifi repair...

    If you have the wifi connection icon on your lower status bar, simply right click it and click "Troubleshoot Problems"

    If not,

    Click Start
    Click Control Panel
    Click Network and Internet
    Click View Network Status and Tasks (Under Network and Sharing)
    Click Troubleshoot Problems

    If that doesn't fix it, use the restore feature and go back to a time it was working correctly.

    'won't even load Firefox' is an operating system problem, probably not WiFi.

    won't load FF, or do you mean, your HOME WEBPAGE does not load ?

    Home Web Page will not load. We got it at Office Depot and I have got an appointment on the 19th when we will be in Albuquerque to take it to them to work on. In the meantime we will use our laptop for Internet access.
