Since I was considering the 760, I was glad to see this thread. I am also interested in combining the backup camera, since my new truck, sadly, did not include one. I'd be interested in users who have the backup camera option with either of these units. Also interested in opinions of either of these units.
Be sure and order the 50 ft extension cable that goes between the camera & transmitter.
I have the 760 & like it so far. - pyoung47Explorer

I've used the RV660LMT through the mountains and on a 2400 mile trip this last summer. Granted, I wasn't towing with it for that trip but I did leave it in the mode setup for my combined rig. Very informative and so far I am very pleased with it, love the bigger screen and way bigger than a phone. I also noticed that on Amazon, there are reviews of the metal case causing overheating issues with the 660 but I did not experience any misbehaving on mine which included a lot of desert driving and staying on that trip.
Also, did buy the camera for it but haven't installed it yet. The camera I bought is going on the back of my TT. If you're doing the same, make sure and get the extra length of cable to get the wireless sending unit closer to the truck cab where the RV660LMT is located... is what I've read based upon researching this setup.
I plan to mount the camera low, maybe even on the TT license plate. From years of having a backup camera on my truck, it seems a good idea to make sure the camera lens can be wiped off from time to time since they can get dirty. If it were mounted up high, I would need to break out a ladder or something to stand on if the camera were to get dirty. Just something to think about.
BTW. I understand that multiple cameras can be used. Does use of the camera remove the traffic feature? - RedRocket204ExplorerI've used the RV660LMT through the mountains and on a 2400 mile trip this last summer. Can't comment on the RV660, but my RV760 alerts me to downgrades, sharp turns and reduced speed limits just to name a few. The ability to change it from RV to automobile mode is a benefit as well.
Have used it on the road for the last 5 months and it has worked pretty well.
One of the new features in the 660 is it can display the upcoming grade profile. It is also supposed to have an "improved" built in POI directory.
True it alerts to grades, curves and even speed limits - I love mine
I especially like the fact that I can have distances on screen to restaurants, rest areas and truck stop (for diesel fuel) all at the same time (or any 3 items you choose)
I got mine one line from the GPS store back in May 299.95 no freight or tax shipped to me in Minnesota - n7bsnExplorer

Just saw this new Garmin for RV travel and it looks like a great idea. Has anyone used it yet on mountain roads??
