New Iphone --- Apple or Other?

Android..just because they are awesome lol

I like the fact that I can drag and drop music.

Screen size (previous to the 6 they were small)

Ease of navigating menus, for me it's easier anyway

To each thier own

I just want them ALL to stop putting the volume controls on the left hand side of the phone!! Or infact anywhere near the top where you hold the phone.

While holding the phone it's right where your thumb is and it keeps lowering the volume!

Yes, I've been on the blog a lot today; trying to make a $1300 or so decision. You won't hear much from me after deciding.

Beginning to lean to Android as my company years ago put me onto PC's instead of Apples. People seem to think PC's and Android are somewhat more akin, than PC's and Apples; so maybe less new to learn.

Although Google is trying, they still have been unable to overcome what I think is the biggest flaw - One can never know when or if their current device will be able to run the next version of the operating system.

Version 5.0 (Lollipop) was released Nov. 12, 2014. More than 74% of all Android devices run operating systems older than Lollipop; running versions that do not receive security updates. The current version is 6.0 (Marshmallow), which was released Oct. 5, 2015. 0.3% of Android devices run Marshmallow.

By contrast, the latest version of iOS, version 9 was released Sept 16, 2015. 67% of all iOS devices are already running version 9 and only 9% of all devices run a version older than IOS 8.

I just upgraded from a Samsung/Verizon Android phone to a "clean" Android Google Nexus 5x phone and I think it is great. None of the Samsung and Verizon apps that you can't get rid of and since it is a Google phone (manufactured by LG) it makes it easy to live in the Google App world.

And they are quite a bit cheaper than Apple and Samsung equivalents. Check them out at the Google Store. And with an unlocked phone, no carrier contract.

That used to be true. In late 2013, Apple Stores and Apple authorized service providers began replacing batteries.

But even "real numbers" can be misleading. Apple doesn't compete in the low-end of the market. If one only considers phones in the iPhone 6, Nexus 6, Galaxy 6 category, what are the market shares? (I don't know, but I'm sure it is much different than when the low-end phones are included.)

I was talking with a person yesterday with this very problem with his iphone. He was told by an Apple tech that as the battery gets old it starts to swell and pushes on the screen as that is where the pressure relief point would be. If you don't replace the battery it will crack the screen and then you might as well buy a new one (or some other brand). Just some added information.
