new laptop from SAMs Club online not great service

It was tax free weekend last weekend and DW needs a new laptop. Found a good price in an i5 1TB 8gb Dell for $499 free shipping. Ordered it last Friday early AM. SAMs said it would be delivered between Tuesday and Friday so I had it sent to work so it wouldn't sit on my porch all day. So of course it shipped Wed from Texas scheduled for a Sat delivery when I will NOT be at work but at home. Called SAMs. Long wait for unhelpful person who said there was nothing they could do. Couldn't change delivery.
Maybe Fed-X could. Called a very helpful and informed Fed-X who of course told me only the shipper could change delivery address after shipping BUT said they could hold for pickup at a Fed-X facility not too far from me. So I'll drive and get it.
Guess I'm spoiled by Amazon.
