It is my understanding that with Directv, for HD you need to align up two satelites instead of just one for SD programing.
This is correct. In reality, it's 3 satellites and not 2. The SD programming all comes from the 101 and the HD from 99 and 103 so you need one of the slimline 3 (or 5) LNB's and the larger Slimline antenna. No dome style antenna can receive the DirecTV HD programming.
Now, back to your original question. Every TV made will work!
I like the Vizio products and have a 32" LED in my coach now. - camperpaulExplorer

Not true.
All of the data required to display a High Def picture with stereo sound is contained in the HD signal from one transponder on one satellite. - KountryguyExplorerIt is my understanding that with Directv, for HD you need to align up two satelites instead of just one for SD programing.
- sch911ExplorerDon't be to disappointed by the SD picture on a Digital TV. The digital TV will just make the imperfections look worse. Why not upgrade the receiver?

Just pick one you like. None of them make stellar pictures from an analog input if that's all you will use it for.
I would like a recommendation for a new 32" led tv to use with a standard def Directv receiver. I would like to keep this receiver because it is so easy to set up. Any suggestions will be helpful.
