a speaker needs space BEHIND them...
sound waves... NEED AIR and SPACE... front and behind. and need to Vent said AIR.
limited air movement behind speaker will FLATTEN sound and limit volume.
radio output has a polarity.. as does speaker.. positive and negative.. and do not allow speaker negative make contact with negative of truck/camper.
Try.. un-mounting speakers.. let hang from wires.. or add support.. turn radio "ON" does it sound better..???
my opinion.
