There is some good information in this thread regarding speakers (proper baffling/isolation of front wave from back wave, frequency range, etc.). However, most stock head units (stereos) in RVs are absolute cr@p. You can replace your speakers with the best you can find but, if the head unit is less than full-range or is putting out 10% total harmonic distortion or is clipping, you're still going to get poor quality. I know this may not be an option in a truck camper, but most of us in larger towables or class A coaches usually end up replacing everything with good quality sound bars, DVD players, music sources, etc. In your case, you might consider a good quality Kenwood or Pioneer automotive unit with a DVD player if you need that for the TV. (I'm speaking from 50 years of experience in large-venue sound reinforcement and automotive audio systems.)
