I have speakers in my ceiling at home. They sounded ok but not great. I built a wooden box to put over them in the attic then foamed around the box to the drywall. I cut a hole next to the speaker in the drywall connecting to the inside of the box. The sound is way better. Speakers like that need to be in a box.
it does NOT need to be LARGE.. even adding an extra opening in the front so air behind speaker can Exit the box...
there has to be books and video's on this subject..by now.
I installed sound systems in the 1970-80's... many systems.
so I am working off 40 year old Memories..:)
