New TV confusion
Storm burned out our 28" TV and began looking at new for replacement but got immediately confused.
We have a Samsung 46 that works great (seven years) but have no clue about the new technologies.
Can anyone explain a little about what to look at -- we don't need all the "SMART" functions, as we have cable and no access to the streaming and other online services. We'd like a basic back-up TV for the den area.
I've found a few around (32") but when I click on it, the link goes to used or refurbished ... can't seem to find a new "plain HD TV without a ton of bells and whistles (We like Samsung or LG).
So, should I buy the B&W fancies anyway -- it appears it's like adding a PC to your TV, which then comes with all the 'spying' and the virus potential, etc? Any advice here ??
If we go UPGrade to new tech, then we should probably go larger, and put the 43" in the den ??? Puzzled ...
