I'm curious if anyone here (except 1492) understands packetized data transmission? There is allot more to this technology that flatly saying that 2 cannot survive in the same space, and 3 is worse than 2, etc... It takes a mathematician, including
Hedy Lamarr to really understand the algorithms (they wrote them). My experience is from my ax.25 packet days on ham radio, and it's amazing what you can really do in shared channel space, not to be confused with 'Bandwidth'
I also doubt if someone had the bux to defend it on principal, that the CG could legally enforce shutting down an RF device that they have absolutely no authority over, on or off their property. It is not their airspace anymore than it is anyone elses. 802.xx (WiFi) is covered under FCC's Part 15, that in part states that this is unlicensed territory, and you must take and accept interfearence just as others must accept the same from you.
Movie theaters are not regulating the transmitters, they are regulating the distraction to the audience caused by cellphones. What they say is "silence" the cellphones, not to turn them off because they have no jurisdiction to do so.
