I am curious about the Internet pricing. I look online and find something I would like. Says "Internet Pricing", with shipping price shown.
But, since I am driving by a CW store, why can't I purchase the item at CW (it is in stock) for the Internet price? If I go into the store, I will likely also pick up additional items, which I won't do online if I have to pay even more shipping.
It is because they pay freight to ship whatever items to the store? A little, but a per-item shipping cost is much less in the store. Does not seem like a viable reason.
Overhead? If there is a warehouse that ships items, they have overhead, also. Does not seem like a viable reason.
I don't see where it should cost less to sell an item online, if I can go to the store and buy the item, especially when I will buy more items while I am in the store.
Marcus always talks about impulse sales, yet the Internet pricing seems to run contrary to that thinking.
