Of course the people who complain about Dish/DIRECTV/Cable dropping a channel would also be the first to complain when the rates go up each year. It is a game that is played every contract renewal. The provider wants to increase it's profits while the transmitter wants to keep it's prices down and profits up. What is interesting is that the charges are per subscriber not per viewer. For example if your local cable company has 100 thousand customers they pay ESPN X dollars times 100k to carry it and it doesn't matter how many people actually watch ESPN.I use ESPN because they get the highest rates.
