It's one of its best features, I think. Just type in 'gas' or 'grocery' or 'laundromat' or 'walmart' or whatever, and google maps shows you where they all are.
I use google maps, and am going to try out copilot and HERE. I carry paper maps for boondocking and for planning -- I find the large scale easier for that. I don't have a GPS.
When I am headed out of cell range I often make handwritten turn by turn notes for myself while I still have coverage.
Are there places that are outside of GPS range?
