Because of Amazon's size and shipping contracts. Shipping is all they do. CW does not depend on on line sales and shipping as a primary means of business; therefore with less shipping and no really desire to compete with Amazon, CW maintains retail stores, RV dealerships, and insurance agency business as thier primary source of income. If the customer wants to purchase from CW online they will have to pay the higher noncompetive prices.
CW is a minor player to the shipping companies, as compared to Amazon and others, therefore because of lower volume CW is not given the primo shipping rates.
That's my opinion. Basically CW is not dependent on online orders to maintain thier bottom line. If you want the online catalog service you will pay for it.
