Agree, no such thing as a "Digital Antenna". Stick a simple paper clip into the hole where the coax cable attaches to the television. You'll get Digital stations. If you don't believe me, try it. Old style batwings still can't be beat!
I have a 50 year old style VHF antenna on the roof of my house with no boosters or anything. I pull in stations from all directions where I live. My camper sits right outside my house in the drive way. The batwing with the booster on, pulls in the exact stations.
If I stick a simple paper clip into the coax connection on any of my televisions, I pull in about 1/3rd of those stations. Bottom line, I think it's all a matter of how much bare exposed metal is exposed and connected to your television that pulls in more. But if parked at a spot where there are no signals, well, ... no matter what you do, you'll never get one. Some places just don't get reception. (been to many. Time to pull out the old DVD's then).
