You didn't order based on what the package said because you did not have it when you ordered! You ordered based on what CW's online ad stated which clearly stated the dimensions and need to verify. CW did their part correctly. What exactly did you want CW to do differently prior to your order?
In any event I find this policy much the same at most online vendors. Most have a stated policy that return shipping is not provided. There are exceptions made for a defective product. In your case the item was not defective but wrong part ordered. If your dimensions fall between the two meaning either CW or the manufacture are incorrect in their listings then perhaps you have a valid reason to request it paid for.
What is CW's policy regarding ordering something online and returning/exchanging at a local CW store? Is that possible?
