Paying shipping 3 times to return an item!

Is this normal policy?
Situation is original order # 12834325 Item # 56326 does not fit, says fits Coleman Mach 1, just a little to short. Need Item # 21888 also says fits Coleman Mach 1.
Called customer service today and was told had to reorder the new item and charged shipping again, and was told i wouldn't be reimbursed to ship the wrong item back. My question is this normal policy and how Camping world treats is customers?

    Dimensions.
    One is 26"W x 13.5"D x 37"L
    Other is 29"W x 14"H x 43 3/4"L.



    So WHO should be paying for shipping when wrong part is ordered :H
  • If the CW ad states it fits xxxx and it does not CW should make it right. The mistake is not between the customer and CW. The error lies between the manufacture/supplier and CW. The customer should not pay for their mistakes.
    The customer should be made whole and the error and lost monies caused by the flawed description should be worked out between CW and the supplier of the part or description. I believe this return is CW responsibility to the customer. CW is the direct link to the customer and the product description.
    That is customer service.
  • Amazon does it and so does EBAY. If you order the wrong part Amazon will take it back and charge the return shipping to you.
    Why should the seller eat the cost? There description is from the manufacturer and so if there is a complaint maybe you should ask the manufacturer to eat the cost.

  • If it is then that is not only terrible service, it's the total opposite of typical on-line business practice.
