Photo Gallery with Windows 10

I have used and loved Photo Gallery for few years. Now after updating to windows 10 after about 6 or 7 months, it now comes up with error. Microsoft SQL server 2005 compact edition is missing...If I go to try, and get the fix it tells me the fix is no longer available from MS. I had a tech person take a look and he claims that windows 10 does not communicate with SQL servers. One error code is 0x8007045a then pops up in Photo Gallery. I really really enjoyed using this program and have a collection of over 2000 pictures cataloged and stored with program, I can still see photos but the cataloging is not of any use anymore. I was under the understanding there was/is a new app to replace this program, but I cannot find it. I would appreciate anyone who might offer some solution other than to go to photo shop. Thank you.
