I have 50 ft of coax on my portable dish. This is the 1st time it has let me down. How long of a cable can I use? Would using a barrel adapter to add another 50 ft be a bad move? I believe the 3dB down rule would come in play.
I took your advice but bought another 50' while in Nachedoces today. I found a clear spot and paced it off as needing another 25' so I went with 50'. DW is wearing her HGTV grin now so the world is balanced once again.
My dish is the little manual MP1.
I had to point it in the dark this evening and that was a challenge relocating that little clearing trough the trees but got her done. I didn't realize Satellite AR app is worthless at night.
Thanks for everyone's input. I usually only use the OTA (learned a new acronym today) while at home. I'll study all of your recommendations and better prepare myself for next time.
