Portable automatic satellite dish

I have a 9 yr. old Kingdome mounted on the roof of our motorhome. It worked well for all those years, but recently died. It searches and searches but never locks on the a satellite. I went through the troubleshooting with Kingdome. They said the board was faulty and was not worth replacing. I am considering buying a portable automatic dish. My question is do they work? Which one is better. I currently have Direct TV but would like the option of switching to Dish.
Any advice would be appreciated.

    I would now opt for the smaller Carry out G2 version so it would fit in a compartment.
