If I really needed Windows 7 (because I have a critical-to-me 2000/XP application that has been disabled by later versions of Windows) I would look for a machine that offered a Windows 7 Professional pre-install. I think a downgrade from Windows 10 could involve disabling new hardware capabilities supported by Windows 8 or later (did someone say touch-screen)?
I would choose Asus in a laptop. Oops, not on your list. Maybe Lenovo. The only HP line I would consider today would be Envy, and the more I think about that, having owned three HP computers and at least twice as many from Dell, I think I would rather shell out for a Dell XPS than for HP Envy. But this gets into what is your budget, and price/quality tiers for the various manufacturers is more important than choice of manufacturer. So I would maybe choose a cheap Lenovo over a cheap HP, but a better HP over a Lenovo.
