Possible? Downgrade a windows 10 to make it a windows 7

Looking for a windows 7 (pro) laptop. Best Buy guy said that I could always select a Windows 10 laptop and have them downgrade it to a windows 7 pro. I have heard that it's possible to make a Wind...

I just ordered and received a new Lenovo E560 laptop from Lenovo. One of the options was a Windows 7 downgrade from Windows 10. I paid $30 for that option. From what I can see, everything that is displayed is Windows 7 (I have a Lenovo desktop that came with Windows 7). The Control Panel does have the option to turn off updates. I opted for “check for updates but let me choose to download and install them”.
