Thank you... at least I know that downgrading a windows 10 to a 7 is probably asking for a lot of issues. So I won't do that.
I have never ordered a computer or a laptop that arrived exactly as expected.
The asus desktop didn't have wifi... but they did send me a wifi card at no charge and it was easy to install.
Lou's small form Asus desktop had a power module failure. It would not power up straight out of the box. They did fix it quickly. I think the return turnaround was less than a week.
Prior to that I ordered a Sony vaio silver series laptop back in 2012... wonderful machine. I'm still happy with it. i5 / windows 7 pro. I'd buy another vaio in a heartbeat if they were still making them. I think they stopped and went to only all-in-one desktops, Not sure they still are into computers right now at all ... I thought I read several months ago that they are restarting again with the laptops?? I have yet to see one anywhere though.
I'm leaning toward a Lenovo ThinkPad...
