Appreciate your thoughts.
I did check the i/o switch and it is on.
I did a factory reset (and it did show the ssid as mbr900---. Then ran the setup wizard to reestablish my security settings, password, etc. Still not showing as a wireless network.
Finally, the MBR900 is no longer officially supported and I do have the latest (last) firmware update.
Looking like it's a hardware failure.
