The ASL-1 depends on the 119 satellite for peaking skew; what are you supposed to use if you are aligning an SWM-3 dish?
Not exactly true. I've been using it for years to make my Acutrac receive a signal off the 101. My setup is a SL3 SWM which I have used since right after SWM was introduced. Without the ASL-1 the Acutrac II, which I have, is useless for SWM. As Bill said the tilt/skew is of little importance with the SL3, so I line up the 101 and go with whatever the tilt is for my location. I rarely get in a place where I can use the on screen meter and the meter I have requires that the receiver is not in the circuit while setting up.
