question on playing tv through stereo speakers

I have a 2013 Gray Wolf that has a basic Jenson am fm cd player. It has a aux. in input on the front and a head phone input. I know there should be a way to play the tv through the speakers but I'm no...

I tried that but it didn't work. I don't think I have the right plug though for the aux input as what I have didn't fit in there right. Is there an adapted that you can use to use a regular auxiliary cable that I now have?
