I am thinking of purchasing a Radar Detector. What Brands are the best?

The problem with Radar detectors... First they can be falsed (Give an indication of radar when no radar is nearby) Second they give a false sense of security to the violator.. If you are for example, approaching one of those signs that says "Speed limit 55 you are going 90".. Well. then they work well, but the trooper.. He aims his gun at you, (Radar gun) Pulls the triggure and ZAP, he's got you no time to slow down.
And then there is LASCAR (Light assisted) uses only the light of the sun, no radiated signal for the detector to detect. And of course the old fashion pace clock.
Way too many ways for the smart officer to nail you with the detector.
My recommendation: Save your money and SLOW DOWN.
