How well do they work? One day, I wrote three different drivers who had detectors on and working! What happened? By the time the driver realized he was in a field, I already had a clock on him. (Reaction time)
The newer ones that do not radiate, but use laser or light sources are the hardest to detect, but there are many out there working on a way to detect radar.
My advice?
If you are going to speed, even with a detector, expect to get caught. The best thing to do, especially in an RV is to obey the speed laws. You and people around you will live longer that way.
Cops will tell you all day long....don't bother. And if you get pulled dover with one on your windshield...you will get a ticket. This is true.
Two VERY close friends of ours happen to be captain and lieutenant (husband/wife.....wife is captain, hubby is lieutenant) within our main city limits of our city and tell us don't bother. Yet my record remains, and I will never be without one. And they have little to say about good detectors, even low price options.
Detectors work, as long as the user how to use it and react accordingly. END TOPIC.
