I am thinking of purchasing a Radar Detector. What Brands are the best?

Radar detectors certainly have their place. They will usually notify you when you have been hit with radar; but they are also a safety item in that they will slow you down in places such as school zones if there is radar in use. I haven't found one yet that is immune to falsing, which can be annoying. I would never depend on it to protect me from a ticket if I was intentionally speeeding, as many police use instant-on radar.
