I am thinking of purchasing a Radar Detector. What Brands are the best?

I put speeders in same category as drunk drivers, using a cell phone use while driving and overloaded tow vehicles. You are likely driving well beyond the abilities you think you have.
Are you really in that much of a hurry to, at best, save several minutes while risking the lives of those that are in your vehicle let alone others that are unfortunately on the road at the same time you are? Do you really think you can react in time to avoid an accident while driving faster then posted limits? There are reasons for setting speed limits even if you do not agree with them.
Save someone the misery of your irresponsible actions. Slow down and enjoy the ride.
