Just adding an amplifier is simply not the magic bullet to fixing reception problems. The batwing already has a high gain amplifier built into the head, and THAT's the one doing all the heavy lifting. Adding an additional amplifier ONLY helps compensate for coax and splitter losses in the coach, and those losses are only a few db at in a working system.
All amplifiers add noise to the system, and some add more noise than gain. Your improvement, if any, will be from slightly better to worse than before. You can also easily overload the TV's by stacking amps.
If this person really saw a "radical" difference in reception, then he had problems in the RV. You simply cannot produce signal that's not there in the 1st place.
I agree with adding the SensarPro for all the pointing functionality it has, AND the amplifier is adjustable on the front panel. The unit defaults to unity gain, but allows a +-10db adjustment, and often you NEED to back it off to keep from overloading the TV from nearby transmitters.
