All tuners are not same. BB has a nice $80 Insignia 19” now. Beats USB tuner. Will give RV results later, but some news on the OTA w/ attic placement and w/ and w/o RS amp (at hi or lo gain, w/ hi a bit better):
No RS amp: 4 Bowtie coat hanger beats fractal in attic picking up 23 channels where two were analog, and three others I could not get w/ the USB. I think this is every possible channel. Fractal only got 11 digital.
With RS amp: Bowyie got 11 disital and fractal got 7.
Mark, I will see how the TV does w/ batwing, but may be a few days. Your take on the results of new TV OTA results?
TV taught me that we should consider getting a HDTV for living room as the QAM (I guess) picked up 20 exrea digital channels, mostly the same as what I see from OTA.
If ya’ll want a nice set, this seems like one – loud and clear and easy (used remote and never read the manual).
For $25, I insured the thing for 5 years.
