The amplifier on the batwing is in the head and cannot be bypassed.
Are tou getting NO voltage or is it just squirrley? If thats the case, make sure tou have the probes firmly on the points you're measuring. If you do, then your problem may be elsewhere in the coach. The batwing needs steady power.
