Hah! This near-blind electricity diagboser was right about my batwing being flawed, as I noted in one of my posts here.
And I am the cause.
When I took off the power supply wall plate, I noticed no coax attached to any of the three power supply connectord. I did have the one labeled Sat. which I had previously switched to the external cable hookup jack (a while back I had concluded that the cable was misconnected at factory on the power supply, and I wanted all the power to go to help my new wingman. Either I forgot to connect the batwing coax when I put the wall plate back, or it wasn’t seated and came off.
So I think things ARE working. Now, going from batwing w/ no green LED, then pushing in green LED makes notable improvements, and then powering on the RS amp makes further improvements.
Thanks for the help. I knew I should have been getting more channels at local SPs. Am anxious to see what a new TV, new RS amp, AND connected batwing(!) will do at all our local haunts.
Now, with batwing flat on RV roof, wingman pointed a bit too north of west, and behind the house under a shed, the setup brings in ALL 5 major networks + one or 2 other channels. It only misses a few that the coat hanger grabbed in the attic, pointed well and 15 ft high.
My humble apologies to Mr. Winegard.
