Check out Slingbox. This would only work if the Slingbox is installed someplace that has either cable or satellite service and also high speed internet available. Slingbox would give you control of a settop box. If for instance, a family member or friend had an extra settop box they were willing to let you have access to, you could plug the Slingbox into it. You then could access the Slingbox from anywhere in the world using a computer or mobile device that is running the Slingplayer software.
