Took the trailer back to storage, about 3 miles down the road. Camera was great. The menu system is fairly easy to navigate and you can set the brightness as well as the microphone volume. I used the mount system on the windshield and it worked well. Now, I need to find a little padded bag to keep the monitor in while stored in the truck. It will be getting a real workout on our upcoming trip, so I'll be able to update with any important observations, but that will be in June.
I have the camera adjusted so that as something gets to the very bottom edge of the monitor, I have a safety margin of about 2 feet. At the same time, there is enough vertical room to see traffic in back of me. The optional guide lines on the monitor are pretty good for helping with backing up. And it only takes a push of a button to reverse (horizontal flip) the view. I will be curious to see how the vision is in darkness.
