Intellicast weather app for having a wind map while traveling. Use the tool symbol in the upper right corner to select the display you want.
I use Weatherbug for weather alerts while traveling and use their radar map to see the weather out in front of me. But, a friend showed me Raindar. It overlays the weather radar on google maps and shows the roads and highways and I may add it.
